YOUNG AUTHOR PROJECT (YAP)

What: Do you have a story to tell? Are you interested in creative writing? Thinking of being a published poet, novelist, comic, or filmmaker one day? Please consider joining the Young Author Project co-facilitated by Deep Center! This 10-week creative writing program is a phenomenal opportunity to explore our lives and the human spirit through writing. Starts: September 17th

DISC GOLF CLUB

What: We’re excited to announce a new after-school Seahawk Disc Golf Club coming soon to Coastal! Disc golf is a fun outdoor sport where players throw a flying disc toward a basket target (similar to golf, but with discs instead of balls and clubs). It’s a great way to build coordination, enjoy nature, and learn friendly competition. Stay tuned for details on meeting times and how students can join! What: TSA chapters take the study of STEM beyond the classroom and give students the chance to pursue academic challenges among friends with similar goals and interests. SEAHAWK STRIDERS

What: After-school running club for all levels — from beginners to seasoned runners! It’s a fun way to stay active or continue training between sports seasons. We’ll walk together to the Islands YMCA trail, run based on your fitness level, and then return to school or the Islands Library for pickup.
