AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS:

MATH CLUB-

What: We participate in math competitions with each other and other schools! Come learn more if you love math.

CHESS CLUB-

What: Come enjoy learning and building your chess skills. Please bring a chess board if you have one.

YOUNG AUTHOR PROJECT (YAP)

Sponsor: Ms. Mccullen  When: Wednesdays until 4:30  Where: Room 41

What: Do you have a story to tell? Are you interested in creative writing? Thinking of being a published poet, novelist, comic, or filmmaker one day? Please consider joining the Young Author Project co-facilitated by Deep Center! This 10-week creative writing program is a phenomenal opportunity to explore our lives and the human spirit through writing.  Starts: September 17th

DISC GOLF CLUB

What: We’re excited to announce a new after-school Seahawk Disc Golf Club coming soon to Coastal! Disc golf is a fun outdoor sport where players throw a flying disc toward a basket target (similar to golf, but with discs instead of balls and clubs). It’s a great way to build coordination, enjoy nature, and learn friendly competition. Stay tuned for details on meeting times and how students can join! INTERNATIONAL CULTURE CLUB

What: TSA chapters take the study of STEM beyond the classroom and give students the chance to pursue academic challenges among friends with similar goals and interests. Together, TSA chapter members work on competitive events, learn and apply leadership skills, and may attend field trips and/or conferences at the state, regional, and national levels.

What: Future Farmers of America, or FFA, is a dynamic youth organization whose mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.

SCIENCE OLYMPAID

What: Dive into the wonders of Science while completing exciting challenges that include the works of biology, chemistry, physics, and even engineering. Whether it be hands-on experiments, testing theories, or even solving basic problems, there will always be a place for you on this team. E-SPORTS

What: Esports Fall 2025 Super Smash Bros season. We will begin practicing Thursday September 18th (from 3:00 to 4:15) and matches will begin in October.

SEAHAWK STRIDERS

Sponsors:  Mrs. McCullen and Mr. Anderson

What: After-school running club for all levels — from beginners to seasoned runners! It’s a fun way to stay active or continue training between sports seasons. We’ll walk together to the Islands YMCA trail, run based on your fitness level, and then return to school or the Islands Library for pickup.

When: Thursdays, 3:00–4:00 p.m.

Where: Meet in Ms. McCullen’s room (41) after school
