CTAE Classes & Student Organizations

At Coastal Middle School, our Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program gives students opportunities to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and discover future career pathways through engaging, hands-on learning. Projects focus on education, culinary arts, fashion design, interior design, and community service.

Our Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) extend classroom learning after school by providing leadership experiences, community service, competitions, teamwork, and real-world applications that help students grow both personally and academically.

FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America)

FCCLA helps students develop leadership skills while exploring careers related to family and consumer sciences. Members participate in service projects, leadership conferences, and competitive events that build communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and career readiness. Through FCCLA, students learn valuable life skills while making a positive impact in their school and community. (FCCLA)

FFA (Future Farmers of America)

FFA is a dynamic student organization that develops leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Students gain hands-on experiences while exploring agriculture, environmental science, natural resources, animal science, and food systems. Through competitions, community service, leadership activities, and career development events, members build confidence and skills that prepare them for future success both inside and outside the classroom. (FFA)

TSA (Technology Student Association)

TSA is a STEM-focused organization that challenges students to apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through exciting hands-on projects and competitions. Members strengthen their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills while exploring innovative technologies and solving real-world problems. TSA encourages students to become confident leaders in an ever-changing technological world. (Technology Student Association)
